Laurie and I are immensely grateful for the many messages, letters, and gifts we received from you to mark the One-Year Anniversary of Max’s tragic death. On Saturday, we went to Mission Trails Regional Park for a time of remembrance, community, and celebration of the progress with the Max LeNail Memorial Bridge.

Latest rendering of bridge design by KPFF

We gathered at the San Diego River Crossing and observed a minute of silence at 12:17 PM.
We hosted a lovely luncheon at the Mission Trails Visitor Center, with a full view of the Park’s majestic peaks and stunning wilderness. We were so honored to be with friends from all over the US, as well as our wonderful San Diego friends and allies, elected officials, and civic leaders.

Our project managers, KPFF Consulting Engineers, unveiled the latest rendering for the Bridge design, to universal acclaim. I signed my first Purchase Order for the project last week, and KPFF is readying an omnibus submission to the City of San Diego. The project is off to a good start!

Max would be pleased with us.

Yours,

Ben Lenail and Laurie Yoler
